Getahun Assefa was born in 1967 in Addis Ababa near Kera Avenue. Since he was a child he greatly admired art. The hidden love he had for paintings made Getahun follow his heart and become a painter and Sculptor. “I think, I am naturally gifted but things that are created before and after my graduation from Fine Art School have some impact on my ending up as an artist,” he said.
